Privacy Policy

Draft for India · updated 28 August 2026

1. Data we collect

We may collect your Instagram handle and links, submitted comment, payment status and transaction reference, device and browser data, IP address, usage events, profile and post clicks, and communications with us. Do not submit sensitive personal data in a pin.

2. Why we use it

To publish and rank pins, process and reconcile payments, generate share cards, measure real traffic, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce the Rules, maintain security, respond to lawful requests and comply with Indian law.

3. Public information

Your pin text, Instagram handle, linked post, amount and ranking are intentionally public. Public pins may be shared, indexed or captured by third parties. Removing a pin from PinYourself cannot erase copies already made elsewhere.

4. Consent and choices

Where processing relies on consent, it must be freely given through a clear affirmative action and may be withdrawn. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing and may prevent continued service. Legal and transaction records may be retained where required.

5. Sharing and security

Data may be processed by hosting, analytics, security and payment providers only for delivering the service, and disclosed where legally required. Reasonable safeguards will be used, but no internet system is completely secure.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable Indian law, you may request access, correction, updating or erasure of personal data and use the designated grievance channel. Public-content moderation remains controlled by the platform owner, but statutory privacy and legal complaints cannot be waived.

7. Children

Paid use is restricted to adults aged 18 or above. The service is not intended to knowingly process children’s personal data for paid pins.

Before paid launch

The operator’s legal name, complete business address, customer-care contact and designated grievance contact must be inserted here before accepting real payments. This draft is general compliance wording, not a substitute for advice from an Indian lawyer.
